A letter to Eric Kripke and Joss Whedon (Torchwood related)

Dear Eric Kripke and Joss Whedon,

I admire both of you.  You two write very good shows.  Firefly's one of my top favorites, as is Supernatural.

However, with all due respect, I must disagree with the generally held opinion that you're the writers of the most tearjerking episodes ever.  Yes, All Hell Breaks Loose was sad.  So was the Supernatural s3 finale.  Firefly too had its moments, particularly in Serenity.  And by all reports, Buffy's got some real heartwrenchers.

Don't get me wrong, you guys are pretty good.

But...try watching Torchwood sometime.

It is with considerable regret that I must label you with this adjective, but label I must.

You two are amateurs.

Love, dreamwaffles.

(ok, this was weird.  BUT IT WAS THE ONLY WAY I COULD COPE WITH THE MOST RECENT EPISODE OF TORCHWOOD OMGWTF I AM CRYING BUCKETS OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD.  -sobs-

WHO'S WITH ME TO RETCON THE HELL OUT OF THIS SEASON?)

SAME (as aliaras). I totally cried my eyes out at the House Season 4 finale. UGH. And during SGA when _____died.

I will conceded that in the light of Torchwood, Kripke is less of a magnificent bastard and more of an amateur fanboy. HOWEVER. You are not allowed to call Whedon an Amateur until you have watched the first season of Dollhouse. I am miffed that you jumped to conclusions about the extent of his genius.

Hey, I drew the conclusion from the data I've got.
